How does Painless price a configured product?
Without anyone doing the math by hand. It looks up your price grids, applies the dealer's price multiplier and the one discount that matches, adds freight and fees with auto formulas, and calculates tax with Stripe Tax while the order is configured, so every quote comes out the same way.
Can each dealer have different pricing?
Yes. Each dealer has its own price multiplier, and discounts can be scoped to a dealer or a dealer group, with conditions on the configured options. In the portal, a dealer sees only their own price.
What happens when two discounts apply to the same line?
Discounts never stack. Each one has a priority, and the highest-priority discount that matches the line wins. Date windows let promotions start and end on their own.
Can we bring in our current price sheets?
Yes. Drop an Excel (.xlsx) or CSV price sheet, a PDF, or a photo into Product Studio. Excel and CSV are read exactly; PDFs and photos are transcribed, and you review the grid cell by cell before it's saved. You can also paste a grid in as CSV, and any grid exports to CSV.
What happens to open quotes when we change prices?
Saved units keep the price they were quoted at. When a unit is re-configured, it's priced with your current grids and discounts, and the order history records the change line by line. Freight, fees, and tax still recalculate on open orders.
Do we build the freight and fee formulas ourselves?
No. Our team sets up auto formulas with you during implementation, to match how you already charge for freight, liftgate, residential delivery, distance, rush orders, and custom colors.
How much does Painless itself cost?
That’s separate from pricing your products. Painless has two plans billed as a percentage of invoice volume, with no seat licenses. The Pricing page has the details.
